Are You Buying The Right Machine?
Tick the below checklist and you will arrive at the correct decision :-
- Whether the vendor / supplier is a manufacturer or a trader of the machine you want to buy.
- Ask the vendor should I shrink wrap my product or should I stretch wrap my product.
- Ask the vendor since how long he has been selling the machine you want.
- Request the vendor to give you case studies / examples of same or similar product like your’s.
- Ask the vendor what will be the advantages to you for the suggested concept of shrink wrapping / stretch wrapping.
- Ask what is the electric power consumption of the machine.
- See whether the vendor is totally focussed on your product application. Has he asked you about the product size range to be handled? Has he asked you the product weight to be handled? Has he asked you what is your desired output / speed you want from the machine?
- Ask him what are the types of shrink films / stretch films suitable for your application and why?
- Ask the vendor what are the makes of the motors / electronic parts / electrical parts / pnuematic parts he uses in the machine. The machine life and machine performance depends mainly on the quality of the above parts used in the machine. The use of parts of reputed makes like rotomotive / bofigolio / festo / delta / schneider / siemens / abb / selec / omron etc. Only this will guarantee the quality and consistent performance of the machine.
- Visit the vendor’s place to see the machine and his infrastructure or if this is not possible then do a video call to see a live demo of the machine and his work place.
Only after you have ticked all the above points for all the vendors, only then qualify them and call for a price quote.
