So let me directly answer this question in a simple, easy to understand way.
To select the correct automatic shrink wrapping machine you should have the following details ready with you :-
- List of the product or products to be shrink wrapped in this machine
- Whether you want the shrink wrapped packed to be closed from all sides or with bulls eye opening on 2 sides?
- The dimensions of the products. Just for easier explanation i am taking packaged water bottles as a case study here eg. If you are going to shrink wrap packaged water bottles then you should keep the sketches of the bottles ready like 200 ml, 500 ml, 1000 ml etc.
- The matrix of each pack i.e. number of rows x number of columns like 4 x 3 or 6 x 4 0r 8 x 5
- You should know the weight of the pack as per above matrix
- What is the speed you want – this means what is the speed of the machine which is going to be linked to the automatic shrink wrapping machine – in the above example of packaged water, you need to know the speed of the filling machine / labelling machine from which the bottles will enter the shrink wrapping machine.
